In the latesixties Rex met a young girl from down the street who he asked to model for him. The modeling, as it often had in the past, became an affair and he began work on two sculptures into which he poured all that he had learned about anatomy, along with his emotional feelings towards female sexuality. He seemed to not be particularly concerned that Christine was only fifteen.

Increasingly there would be accumulations of photo imagery in his files and drawings in his notebooks of more and more specific obsessions regarding sex.
